Gold prices advanced in Asian trading on Friday, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar and lower oil prices, as investors monitored developments in the Middle East and expectations for global monetary policy.
Spot gold rose 1.1% to $4,386.39 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures gained 0.6% to $4,425.80.
Other precious metals also moved higher, with spot silver climbing 2.3% to $66.66 an ounce, platinum rising 2.3% to $1,810.25, and palladium advancing 2.1% to $1,318.50.
