Cargo vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz fell to just four ships over the past 24 hours, down from six vessels the previous day and significantly below the 10-day average of approximately 16 ships.

Preliminary data from Kpler, a vessel-tracking company, indicated that three ships entered the strait heading toward the Gulf, while one vessel exited. The recorded traffic consisted of two Panamax vessels, one Supramax ship and one Kamsarmax vessel.

At the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, 23 cargo ships passed through during the same 24-hour period, compared with a 10-day average of around 26 vessels per day. Thirteen ships were heading toward the Red Sea, while another 10 were bound for the Gulf of Aden.
