Barcelona have made a remarkable start to the season, securing their seventh consecutive victory in all competitions and matching a historic winning run not seen at the club since more than a century ago.

According to a statistic published by Spanish sports analyst Alexis Martín-Tamayo, known as “MisterChip,” Barcelona had not recorded a comparable opening since the 1915-16 season, when the team also won its first seven matches under manager Jack Greenwell while scoring 44 goals.

The Catalan giants claimed their seventh win of the current campaign early Thursday with a dominant 7-2 victory over Racing at Spotify Camp Nou.

The result took Barcelona’s tally to 33 goals across their opening seven matches, underlining the team’s prolific attacking form at the start of the campaign.

Barcelona have also reached a significant financial milestone, with the club’s annual revenue exceeding €1 billion for the first time, largely boosted by the return to Camp Nou following its renovation.
