Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zeidi met on Monday with Rothschild Bank Chairman Édouard de Rothschild in Paris to discuss strengthening Iraq’s financial and banking cooperation with international institutions.
The meeting, held at Al-Zeidi’s residence in the French capital, focused on the government’s efforts to modernize the banking sector, expand ties with global banks and improve Iraq’s credit rating.
The two sides also discussed government plans to diversify the Iraqi economy and build a stronger and more sustainable economic base.
De Rothschild highlighted Iraq’s promising investment opportunities and the potential role of international financial institutions in supporting the country’s development projects.
