The spokesperson for the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc, Mohammed Al-Baldawi, said Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi’s visit to Europe represents an opportunity to expand economic cooperation and attract foreign companies and investment to Iraq.

Al-Baldawi said the visit will address key agreements and projects in defense, energy and oil, as well as industry and trade. He stressed Iraq’s commitment to opening up to the international community and diversifying its foreign relations.

He added that Iraq has an opportunity to restore its regional standing, noting that major strategic projects, particularly the Grand Faw Port and Development Road, would strengthen the country’s position as an economic and trade hub connecting East and West.
